Job Description


Position Summary

Advanced Mobile Healthcare is seeking full-time (M-F 8:30-5:00) office support staff for a busy primary care house call practice.  Our office support staff functions as an effective member of the interdisciplinary team through the coordination and administration of office activities to support house call providers and staff.  


Position Duties and Responsibilities

v  Ensures the privacy and security of protected health information per HIPAA requirements.

v  Represents medical providers by communicating with the public

v  Assists in resolving/trouble-shooting complex patient/clinical issues and triaging incoming/outgoing phone calls.

v  Communicates correspondence through entering phone messages in the electronic health record (EHR).

v  Makes accurate and precise call backs per provider instruction to reinforce provider instructions, follow-up care, patient education, and test results.

v  Coordinates patient care by assisting with ordering and scheduling for outside tests, procedures, and/or referrals to other providers.

v  Shares information with appropriate team members to assist in more comprehensive care of the patient.

v  Reviews and audits completed forms for accuracy and completeness

v  Performs indirect patient care

v  Becomes proficient with the EHR, computer hardware, and software programs.

v  Scans documents into pdf format, names digital files, and places them in the proper digital folders.

v  Participates in prior authorization process and Advanced Beneficiary Notification

v  Performs data entry, medical billing, typing letters, and faxing documents.

v  Prepares and maintains medical supplies/equipment for medical examinations and procedures.

v  Prepares lab specimen and requisitions for currier.

v  Follows clinic guidelines and protocols and contributes to development of policies and procedures.

v  Participates in team and staff meetings as requested.

v  Performs other related work as required.

v  Adapts to changing work assignments.

v  Updates job knowledge by willingness to seek out and learn new tasks within the office.



v  Must be a quick learner with critical thinking skills.

v  Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.

v  Ability to work with minimal supervision.

v  Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

v  Strong attention to detail and problem solving.

v  Proficient computer skills including Windows based office technologies (ex. Word, Excel), digital files (pdf, jpeg), and e-mail.

v  Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

v  Ability to collaborate with other multi-disciplinary team members.

v  Ability to evaluate own learning needs and seek out educational opportunities.

v  Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position.



v  Graduated high school or GED.

v  Graduated from/or currently enrolled in accredited nursing program.

v  Two years of healthcare experience preferred.

v  Up-to-date vaccines.

v  Pass Criminal background check.

v  Pass Urine drug screen.
