Position Summary: Assist in establishing and maintaining relations between healthcare providers. Support recruiting and contracting efforts of physicians as needed. Assist providers and staff with questions, fee schedules or member concerns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Gather information for credentialing on all incoming membership applications for monthly membership meetings.
Assist in recruiting healthcare providers and management of contracts
Assist customers in locating providers
Initiate entry or change of provider related database information
Research and communicate provider changes
Educate providers regarding policies and procedures related to claims submission
Answer incoming phone calls as needed
Adheres to company operating routines, including policy and procedures, communication and customer service
Prepare documents including correspondence, reports and memos
Maintain provider directory
Complete other duties as assigned
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, be proficient with the computer and keyboard and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Access, Excel, Word and Outlook. Job requires a commitment to customer service, attention to detail and accuracy and information gathering and monitoring. Qualified applicant must demonstrate efficient and productive multi-tasking, prioritizing, planning and organization capabilities, be flexible and adaptable and show problem assessment and problem solving capabilities with follow-through. Knowledge of provider credentialing or contracting is preferred.
